Rubbish
Waste Away can provide 240 litre wheelie bins for all your rubbish needs. Smaller bins are available for kitchen/tea rooms or smaller organisations.
Recycling
Waste Away can provide recycling bins for your office or hospitality environment. Type specific (eg, paper, cardboard, glass, plastic) or commingled recycling bins can be arranged.
Classified Materials
Waste Away is a government accredited classified material destruction facility.
Paper can be processed to confidential or top secret level. Shredded paper is then recycled.
• Soft e-media can be processed to ‘Top Secret’,
• Hard e-media processed to ‘Secret’ level of destruction, and
• Uniforms and ID badges to ‘Top Secret’.
E-Waste
Waste Away has a start-of-the art hammer mill that is used to grind hard disk drives and other forms of e-waste. This ensures
that your data is completely destroyed.
The ground
up waste is evidence of the complete destruction of the data on the disk - reassurance not possible if the disk is simply magnetically treated.
Used Cooking Oil
Waste Away is a major collector of used cooking oil & fat in South-Eastern NSW, covering Wollongong to Eden, the Snowy Mountains, Southern Highlands, Yass, Goulburn and the ACT. This material is transported to Sydney for recycling into biofuel, stock feed and cosmetics. (Yes, really!)
Bulky Items & One Off Services
Waste Away has the capacity to remove bulky items, such as damaged furniture & office equipment if required. We also cater for one-off bulk clean ups.
Equipment & Service Features
We offer 240 litre bins for:
• General waste,
• Paper – non-classified,
• Secure paper for confidential shredding/destruction,
• Glass (bottles),
• Commingled recyclables.
Smaller bins (80, 120 and 140 litre) bins are available if required. For your information, your household rubbish bin is 140 litres and your recycling bin is 240 litres.
For cardboard, we use 660 litre mobile bins and wool packs supported on a steel frame. These are 1.2m high by 0.8 m square and are ideal for flattened boxes/cartons. The bags can not be filled with paper or magazines for OH&S reasons (too heavy).
Waste Away’s unique service features include:
- Encouraged recycling practices - Our smaller bins ‘force’ users to sort and recycle. It is ‘too easy’ to throw recyclables into large hoppers.
- Cleaned bins - A second feature of our service, and we believe this to be unique to Waste Away, is that we exchange used/full bins at most collections with cleaned replacements.
- Statistical reports - A further feature of the ‘Waste Away Service’ is that we can provide weights of all material types removed, ie wet waste, commingled recycling, glass, cardboard etc. ‘Green’ statistics are rapidly becoming the norm in our dealings with Government Departments.
- Inside or out - Our drivers are happy to exchange your bins from within your office. There is no need to leave your bins outside.
- No hidden costs - Waste Away does not add any additional charges to the quoted rate. That is, there is no weekly hire or rental fee for the bins, no delivery fee and all disposal fees are included in the rates quoted.
- Flexible scheduling - We design a collection schedule to suit your needs (and not ours!) and happily do extra pick ups to cater for those busy times of year.
